Wrestler (The)

The Wrestler stars Mickey Rourke as Randy 'The Ram' Robinson, a former World Champion wrestler who now makes his money through small exhibitions and working at the local supermarket.

After years of success, millions of fans and dollars, The Ram's body and family are giving up on him and he faces a daily struggle just to keep his head above water. When the offer of recreating his biggest ever match comes along, Robinson can't wait for the time to come but it appears his ailing physique, ravaged by years of brutal piledrivers, suplexes and steroids is not going to hold out for him. Add to this a tumultous relationship with his estranged daughter and The Ram has plenty on his plate to be concerned with.
